Hive Brain Media offers a truly collaborative experience. We are a collective of media and film professionals with expertise in all facets of the creative process. We have extensive experience in feature film production, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), aerial cinematography, film and media direction and production management.


Julie “Jules” Howe is a California screenwriter, producer and children’s book author. Her film credits include Executive Producer of the feature films, The Forger, Cupid’s Proxy, Ingenious and the children’s musical short film The Adventures of Catty Wompus. She co-produced the acclaimed documentary Miracle On 42nd Street. Jules is a founding board member of the Cinematic Arts and Technology Foundation of Cal State Monterey Bay whose goal is to empower at-risk youth through year-round community programs that investigate, educate and celebrate the cinematic arts. She is a frequent panelist at the prestigious Austin Film Festival.


Chris is a production manager, producer and educator who is passionate about production workflow and technology, and how it can create business changing content. Chris has over 25 years of broadcast television management experience and has developed and produced hundreds of commercials and electronic marketing campaigns. He produced the award-winning Sundance Short Film “Charlie and the Rabbit”, and for the last 20 years, has developed and taught production classes at Cinematic Arts & Technology, CSU Monterey Bay. In his free time, you’ll find Chris with his GORGEOUS wife and two boys, and volunteering in numerous youth sport organizations.
